We're thrilled you're joining us. To make sure you have all the information you need, we've put together some FAQs to get you started. We can’t wait to see you at #Config2023!
A fantastic lineup of speakers, a chance to ask your burning Figma questions, and connect with attendees from around the world.
All sessions, except for deep dives, will be recorded and available on config.figma.com the same day.

Badge pick-up will start on Tuesday, June 20th at 8:00 AM PDT. The conference doors open on Wednesday, June 21st at 7:00 AM PDT with our keynote beginning at 9:00 AM PDT (we recommend arriving early to get a good seat!) and Config wraps on Thursday, June 22nd at 5:00 AM PDT.
Your Config pass includes access to keynote and general sessions (first-come, first-served seating), plus some surprises along the way. Your pass includes lunch on both days and coffee, water, and snacks throughout the event. Travel and lodging are not included, but we've secured special rates with five local hotels that you can book during registration. As a bonus, your in-person credentials can be used to access the virtual event
Config is being held at Moscone Center South in San Francisco. We recommend using your preferred rideshare service to get there, and parking is available nearby at Fifth and Mission Garage. You can also check with your hotel to see if they offer a shuttle service. All the hotels that we’ve partnered with for discounted rates are within walking distance of Moscone.
We have partnered with multiple hotels that are walking distance to Moscone Center South with discounted rates to Config attendees ($230–$320 per night). You’ll be able to reserve and pay for your hotel room when you purchase your Config ticket. Please note that availability is limited and discounted room may sell out.
Badge pick-up will start on Tuesday, June 20th at 8:00 AM PDT at Moscone South. Don’t forget to bring a form of identification to check-in!
Yes, we are offering a limited number of scholarships to the official conference and classes. The scholarship program is open to everyone, not just students and scholars. Applications are open from April 4 to April 18 To apply for a scholarship, please fill out this form.
Unfortunately we can't offer refunds, but you are welcome to transfer your ticket up to 72 hours before the conference (June 18th, 12:00 PM PDT) by emailing events@figma.com.
We will be following San Francisco COVID guidelines when it comes to COVID safety. While encouraged, vaccination and masks will not be required at Config 2023. Should the need arise, we reserve the right to implement testing and masks before the event. If so, attendees will receive ample notification. As always, please stay home if you are experiencing any symptoms or have been exposed—we all need to do our part to keep one another healthy.
There will be security and metal detectors on the premises, and valid identification is required at badge-pickup. Config will be filmed and photographed.
We want to make sure everyone feels welcome and included at Config, so we've arranged for prayer and meditation rooms, nursing or lactation rooms, accessible seating, and ASL interpretation. If you need anything else, contact us at events@figma.com.
Bulky bags? Umbrellas? Don’t worry. You can stash those with our coat and bag check at arrival.
Leave something behind? Reach out to events@figma.com and we’ll do our best to help locate your missing item.

The virtual conference will begin on Wednesday, June 21st at 9:00 AM PDT and wraps on Thursday, June 22nd at 4:00 PM PDT.
When you register for Config, you’ll be sent a confirmation code via email—hold on to it! You’ll need that and your email address the day of the event. Once you enter this information the day of the event, you will receive a link via email which will log you on to the streaming platform. Your browser should remember you, so you should only need to log in once.
The virtual conference will open 15 minutes before programming begins. When you log in, you’ll automatically be taken to the conference site where you can watch the talks.
Streaming quality will adjust according to your device’s bandwidth, so make sure your connection is strong!
Yes, we will have ASL interpretation.
